Throughout his career, he has designed remarkable pieces, including the Straw Chair and Slim Chair, both of which showcase his deep understanding of materials and design aesthetics. Ucu began his career as a protégé of Yuzuru Yamakawa, one of Balagi’s pioneering designers, where he honed his skills and developed a strong foundation in furniture craftsmanship. This wealth of experience and dedication to his craft eventually led him to take on the role of Production Manager at Balagi.
