ALFATH KURNIADI
An Interior Designer from Bandung, Founder of AKARA Projects
Alfath Kurniadi is a young interior designer and also a rattan enthusiast born on March 30, 1994, in the city of Prabumulih, South Sumatra. Engaging in Rattan Trips from upstream to downstream is an activity he often undertakes. His passion for rattan has grown since the early days of his college years, leading him to win the Casa Design Challenge for the Furniture category in 2015. Not only that, in 2017, Alfath also achieved the Platinum Prize at the Indonesia Furniture Design Award.
Through the accomplishments he has achieved, Alfath has been involved in several research and development projects for rattan products, including collaborations with NGOs PUPUK and PPPLB ITB. He has also been a speaker in training and product development programs in various regions in Indonesia. In addition, Alfath is active in several exhibition events such as IFEX, CASA, Mozaik Indonesia, and TEI. One of his works was even exhibited at IMM Cologne, Germany in 2016.
